Tuesday tip of the day.
Have you ever wondered how to sharpen your blunt scissors? Here are 3 ways to get the job done.
1. Fold several layers of foil, cut smoothly through the foil ensuring all the blade touches the foil with each cut. Repeat several times, check sharpness of scissors and repeat if need be.
2. Cutting through sandpaper:
Fold your sandpaper in half, rough sides outwards so that as you cut the rough sides meet the blades. That’s a quick and easy way to do it!
3. Cutting through iron sponge (steel wool)
Iron sponge popularly used for pot cleaners can be used to sharpen your scissors by cutting through it over and over. It is gentle enough to still sharpen but not actually cause damage and create a lot of very nasty sharp pieces of metal.
